Blindsided

On Christmas Eve I spent the night in White House, TN. What I hadn't written last was that I had had major engine trouble in Birmingham, AL. Like, oil light, lots of noise and 5 quarts of motor oil, trouble. I made it to Covington, KY and to my mechanic. After listening to the engine, which he could hear from across the parking lot, he let me know that replacing the engine was my best bet. Firestone doesn't do it, so I went to another place that I had been to, and was really happy with when I used them.
5K.
I had not planned on spending five thousand dollars on the entire trip, let alone my car. Friends and family all over the country rallied around me and helped to finance the majority of the repair work. I hope to have my car back tomorrow.
The book publishing is on hold until I can sort out the incredible weirdness that I am dealing with. And, honestly, after hitting everybody up for money to repair my car I am reluctant to ask for more to publish a book. So, it will be a bit longer before 'Shifting Gears' comes out, but it will come out, I promise.
Thank you to all who wished me well, sent love, good energy and money during this time.
