I'm off of the crutches and the immobilization brace in lieu of a soft brace and being very careful. My version of 'being careful' is, likely, a bit different than most. So, taking stairs is a thoughtful process, as well as getting into and out of the car.
The orthopedist said the damage is patella related cartilage and probably some meniscus involvement as well. It's never a good thing when your orthopedist says, 'Eewww.' at the noise your knee makes when you move it.
An MRI is next and we will see what rolls from there.
I'm still doing strength training, upper body and abs are fair game. And, kick boxing is highly modified and not really a kicking type activity. However, punching sets will definitely get the heart rate up, so that really feels good
All in all, I'm frightened of the possibilities regarding this, but will keep myself going because, what else am I suppose to do?
